We file your OPRA request correctly, track the 7-business-day clock, and chase the custodian until you have an answer. If the agency never responds and we can't get them to, you get a full refund of our service fee.

What's covered
- Single ($5) requests — full refund of the service fee.
- Rush ($19) add-on — if we miss the 2-business-hour send SLA, the $19 is refunded automatically.
- Pro ($29/mo, up to 50 requests) — per-failed-request credit applied to your next billing cycle, or pro-rated refund on cancellation.
- Custom plans — refund terms set in your service agreement.
How to claim
- 1.Email support@opraexpress.com within 30 days of your filing (or of the agency's final response, whichever is later).
- 2.Include the request ID from your dashboard and one sentence on why you're requesting the refund.
- 3.We process refunds within 5 business days back to your original payment method.
What's not covered
We want the guarantee to be as broad as possible, but a few things sit outside our control:
- Agency duplication fees already paid to a municipality on your behalf — those are billed at cost and non-refundable once paid to the agency.
- Lawful denials under an OPRA exemption (e.g. active investigation, juvenile records). The records simply don't exist for release. Instead, every filer gets a free consultation with an attorney from our partner network to evaluate an appeal.
- Fraudulent or abusive use of the service.
